Apple Original Films has dropped the first trailer for Jonah Hill’s new dark comedy Outcome, and it’s already shaping up to be one of 2026’s most talked‑about releases. The film stars Keanu Reeves as Reef Hawk, a hugely beloved Hollywood icon whose world flips upside down when he’s blackmailed with a mysterious video that could destroy his entire career.
With his life spiralling, Reef turns to the people who know him best: his lifelong friends Kyle (played by Cameron Diaz) and Xander (Matt Bomer), plus his crisis lawyer Ira, played by Jonah Hill himself. Together, they set off on a chaotic, emotional, and often hilarious mission to figure out who’s behind the extortion. The catch? Reef has to confront every person he might have wronged along the way — which turns into a wild, nostalgic, and unexpectedly healing trip through his past.
Hill directs the film and co‑writes it with Ezra Woods, bringing a sharp, self‑aware lens to the story as Reef tries to clean up his messes and maybe even rediscover who he is. The cast is stacked too, with appearances from Susan Lucci, Laverne Cox, David Spade, Martin Scorsese, Atsuko Okatsuka, Roy Wood Jr., Welker White, Kaia Gerber and Ivy Wolk.
Outcome is produced by Hill, Matt Dines and Alison Goodwin under their Strong Baby banner, with Adam Merims serving as executive producer. The film premieres globally on Apple TV+ on Friday, April 10, 2026.
